Why Does St. Paul's PACE Need Your Help?
St. Paul’s PACE opened in San Diego in March of 2008 after nine years of fundraising by St. Paul’s Senior Homes & Services (SPSH&S). Why did SPSH&S commit to a project of this magnitude? Because they recognize the need to provide medical support to low income and frail seniors in the San Diego area who without help, would be in a skilled nursing facility. Extensive research of the PACE programs throughout California and the United States revealed that the PACE model of coordinated care greatly improves the lives of chronically ill, low income seniors - San Diego’s neediest population.
Our Elm Street site serves the Central San Diego area, but the entire San Diego County needs our help. Therefore, we are currently fundraising to build a site in both the South and East counties of San Diego. Our research shows there are over 15,000 chronically ill, low income seniors in these areas who need the services that PACE provides. Please help us grow so we can continue our vision of serving seniors in San Diego County. Even the smallest of donations helps!
