St. Paul’s Senior Services Invites the Community to “S.P.E.N.D.” the Holidays Giving at a Drop-Off Donation Drive Supporting Seniors at St. Paul’s PACE, Nov. 20, 10am-3pm

Community invited to donate new toothbrushes, toothpaste, blankets, and socks at St. Paul’s Conference Center in Bankers Hill

SAN DIEGO, CA – St. Paul’s will host a drop-off donation drive to support S.P.E.N.D. (St. Paul’s Essential Needs Drive) on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Conference Center, 2557 Third Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.

The community is asked to bring new, unopened essential items, including toothbrushes/toothpaste, blankets, and socks, to directly support vulnerable older adults served by St. Paul’s PACE across San Diego County.

St. Paul’s S.P.E.N.D. shines a light on the growing gap between a seniors’ fixed income and the rising cost of living, and channels community support into the most-needed everyday items. Learn more at www.stpaulspace.org/spend.

“Something as simple as a warm blanket or fresh socks means comfort, dignity, and health for the seniors we serve,” said Pamela Sandoval, Day Center Supervisor at PACE Nemeth in El Cajon “Donating to S.P.E.N.D. gives neighbors an easy way to make a real, immediate difference in the lives of these seniors during the holidays.”

Thousands of older adults in San Diego County live below the actual cost of living and struggle to cover basics like housing, food, and medications. Many do not meet federal poverty thresholds and go without essential living items. Donations through S.P.E.N.D. help close that gap for the seniors in St. Paul’s care this winter.
