Companionship. Entertainment. Physical exercise. Mental stimulation. These are all ingredients that add to your quality of life. At St. Paul’s PACE, we recognize that getting a sense of fulfillment from your life matters as much as getting a clean bill of health from your doctor.
St. Paul’s PACE opened in Chula Vista on L Street in 2012. The City of Chula Vista welcomed St. Paul’s with opened arms because they recognized a significant need for medical and social services for low income seniors in Chula Vista and surrounding areas. Soon after opening, St. Paul’s named the Chula Vista location St. Paul’s PACE in recognition of a very generous gift by the Akaloa Foundation.
How St. Paul's PACE Chula Vista Can Help
St. Paul’s PACE (Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) provides comprehensive care for seniors who live at home, but still need some services that they would otherwise receive from an assisted living facility. If you are a senior, 55 or older, with chronic medical issues and would like to remain living in your own home, St. Paul’s PACE can help you maintain your quality of life without sacrificing your independence.
At St. Paul’s PACE Chula Vista you will receive help with any number of things you might be struggling with in your daily life. You will have access to social workers who can help you with anxiety or depression. You will get the specialized medical services you need, and perhaps most meaningfully, the opportunity to get out of the house and socialize with other people your age.
At St. Paul’s PACE Chula Vista, you can enjoy our large day center and its full schedule of engaging activities. You are welcome to enjoy our puzzles and board games at your leisure in our community space, and we also offer scheduled arts and crafts, pet therapy, exercise programs, and more. These activities not only provide entertainment, but over time they can improve your mobility, your memory, your coordination, and overall mood.
All of our services at St. Paul’s PACE in Chula Vista were carefully designed to adhere to the PACE principles of providing comprehensive care for the whole person, rather than treating medical ailments in isolation. We strive to be a one-stop shop in Chula Vista that can meet your social, emotional, and functional needs, in addition to providing medical services. As a St. Paul’s PACE participant, you won’t have to worry about the complications and headaches that can result from navigating an increasingly complex system of different medical facilities, specialists, and appointments. With St. Paul’s PACE, you have access to:
● A range of specialists, including audiologists, optometrists, dentists, and podiatrists
● Certified and experienced social workers
